I've seen these in cheezy movies, but apparently Iraqi weapons buyers like cheezy movies.

There's actually video of this thing in use on the HK Pro (?) website. For bodyguard duty I guess.

That is the MP5K,used mainly by the Secret service traveling with the president.Nicknamed the"Room Broom",it has a very high cylic firing rate of 900 rounds per minute. So next time you see a guy with a suitcase, think twice!

I'm sure the owner of that weapon also produces the Iraqi equavilent of rap videos starring himself with his homies and bitches driving around in a white Cadillac Escalade on 20" chrome wheels.

I'm going to be sick... :bash: :fork: :cantbeli: :backhand:

I wonder if I could have made money by going to Iraq and loot? At least I might have gotten some of the guns I'd like to own... :D

Is gold strong enough to withstand those kind of forces? Must be just gold plated.

Mal3

Most probably gold plated. Gold is wy to soft to use for guns. If that gun had seen any use I would think the plating would start to show wear, for example if the stock would be telescoped in.

A writer for Handguns magazine once got a gold plated glock for testing. He grew a bit attached to it and said he wanted to go out and buy a Lincoln and a string of girls to go with it ;)

HAHAHAH, A gold Glock, was the plastic Gold colored too? HAHAHAH, I have seen some Glocks with engraved slides, but I will be honest, I think it looks AWFUL. Ill post a link in a min.

It was just the slide. Colouring the plastic might pose a problem, esp. since it's black.

Actually the gun didn't look hald bad! I'm all for utilitarian weapons. Maybe fit some pretty stocks on the pistol if replacements are needed but the the Golden Glock was pretty. Offending, yet pretty :P

Still, engraving a Glock is not my cup of tea, it is a utilitarian weapon and as such any modifications should be practical.

Now, engraving and plating a nice HiPower might be OK, but I still just want one in plain, thank you very much!

I've seen that one before too, but the site I posted a link to (HKPro) is apparently in the process of being reorganized. They have quite a few videos of HK products in use, including the aforementioned suitcase room-broom.

German VIP Protection guys used those (unconfirmed) to protect VIP's (duh) on airlines, etc. I wonder whether I could fit an Airsoft MP5K into one of those things!

Room broom it is!

Hooah p-)

The gold MP5SD could also have a Titanium Oxide finish. I'ts an incredibly hard finish that looks very much like a brushed gold plating. Likely it's just and Iraqi pimp gun that was never ment to be used and has real gold plating. I just wanted to mention that some of the gun manufacturers are using the titanium oxide finish since it produces "the look" with the added benefit of extra protection for the metal.

Indias National Security Gaurds have an Air marshal programme(protecting airliners from hijackings,by placing operators on board),i guess they use these as Cabin Baggage

look at www.hkpro.com homepage. The bottom of the three imagines. Seems there are about 21 of these puppies stacked up behind the guy. Must be a great find :)

There seem to be no means to operate the safety/selector switch except by opening the case. That does seem rather unsafe. Although, with such a trigger linkage the trigger will probably not be match grade...
