Apparently, next March will be on sale in Spain Dan Brown's first novel, called "Digital Fortress " in which he pictures Spain (and more specifically Seville) as a third world country (the novel takes place in late 20th century).

Apparently he talks about how medicine is not very developed in Spain, anti-higienic hotels, bad communication networks and corrupt Police.

This is a sample of what he writes:

"A perforated lung was fatal, maybe not in more advanced countries in medicine , but in Spain it was fatal”.

He also describes Seville's most famous monument (LA giralda) this way:

"The stairs were steep, tourists have died ere. This place was not America, no security signs, no banisters nor warnings about insurance...."

What this man probably doesn't know ( i doubt he's ever been to Spain) is that Spain is one of the most advanced countries in the world in terms of medicine and a more objective fact, La Giralda doesn't have ANY stairs, it only has ramps. :bash:

Fortunately my fellow countrymen have way more "style" than him and have invited him to Seville to show him how mistaken he is about Spain.

Link (sorry, in Spanish)
