are theses boots any good ?????? also the new issue cusion sole desert socks ?????

They are absolutly terrible - probably the worst boots on issue since DMS. Comfortable for the highstreet/pub in the UK but far too hot and lacking in ankle support for the desert. Your feet will fall apart if wearing them for any length of time in the heat.

Replace with Meindle Desert Fox or Altberg if you can afford them otherwise US or the Old UK desert boot (ie the ones built like the junglies). Keep the Magnums for the Pub.

Unless of course you are on the staff and only use them from your corrimec to the coach to the office.

The socks however are brilliant (as is most of the rest of the individual desert kit issue). Did me for a long tour and now still going strong in the gym.

Hence why we've been given a **** load! Although my combat trainers are great for barrack work heh
