Andyman, you really dont know the conditions under what lead to that, its horrable but it isnt like that only happens in "the ghetto" I live in the suburbs of minnesota and I have seen a lot worse stuff happen.

Everbody gets in fights sometimes, it dose not matter what kind of life they lead.

ps. that guy needs to learn how to fight, I undsetand cutting a girl some slack but after you get your ass dragged into the street, enough is enough.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there bob; i was never in a fight before getting into martial arts when I was older. My mother taught me well enough to stay away from areas and people that might be a 'bad element'.

My point is you cant say that a certain area is a bad element, that "bad element" exists in nearly all communitys, I have never been in a real fight but I sparr with my fellow s-TKD peers. People fight, I think you cant classify fights as a a phenominon of certain social groups.

I'm not trying to sound upper crustic or something, but it's easy to go through one's life and not be exposed to such things if you steer clear of bad places. I've never even seen a single fight in front of my own eyes that wasn't in some way related to the martial arts schools. I don't go to bars where people are drunk, I don't hang out in known bad areas, and I'm pleasant to the people I meet. Physical fighting just hasn't happened to me or those around me. It also helps to be bigger than most people around me. :)

I have never been in a fight except for once when a drunk man nearly assaulted a girl I knew.. of course, I was young and thought drunk people were pushovers, I learned fast that the beer only makes them more durable :(

Assaulting someone else is illegal and can land you in jail... I don't know many sober people who'd be willing to risk their professional careers for something so silly. The whole "Have you ever been arrested or convicted?" question on the job applications can close a lot of doors.

One night I was drunk got thrown in a detox cell with other drunks, well the cops brought in a very large US Marine, he was waisted, he starts talking about how he's going to kick everyones ass, and he sits next to me, he looks at me and I said Mariens? Ah the army wouldn't take ya? He throws a right cross (thank god he missed) then about 6 cops ran in and grabbed him and tied him to a strecher, what a great night that was :P
