no joke i was in one of these situations no more than 2 months ago...i didnt say anything and when he lunged at my stomach i kick in his knee and used his own disorientation against him and put the knife in his leg and then ran away.... im not gonna lie it was one of the scariest moments in my life and yes...i did cry afterwards :oops:

Unfortunately, back in my old DOC days I routinely had to fight guys that would **** themselves, and smear it all over their bodies, or better yet, eat it. Ahhhhh....... how I long for the smipler days of cell extractions, strip searches, and guys throwing turds at me. ;)

Hmm run or do something like Fee show in his post. I never fought guy with knife but last time a meet some drunk guy with bottle. He was quite suprised when i start laugh at him and then i just walked away. Not to fast so he can try his luck if he want. Glass in nearby shops allowed me to see what is happenig behind me so he wasn't able to suprise me. He was quiet till i turned around the corner then start to yell something like "run looser run". Only thing that stoped me from turning around and kicking his ass was fact that he stood in front of shop with camera security.

When asked the same question several years ago, my Tae Kwon Do instructor said, "run". We were quite surprised by this. He answered that years ago when he was a new Level 1 black belt, he was confronted in the same situation. He attacked the guy with the knife and as he was knocked to the ground and had the knife at his neck while his wallet was taken, he thought, "hey...this guy might be a loser, but he's a loser with a knife AND knows more about Tae Kwon Do than I do. You never underestimate your opponent."
