http://www.nldetirak.nl/eenheden/kmar2/200104foto1.jpg

By the Way: "Linda, dit is 'm !"

http://www.nldetirak.nl/eenheden/kmar2/200104foto2.jpg

http://www.nldetirak.nl/eenheden/kmar2/200104foto6.jpg

Nummer zes is "Pretty Boy". Oordeelt uzelf. Do I need to say more !

http://www.nldetirak.nl/eenheden/kmar2/200104foto7.jpg

http://www.nldetirak.nl/eenheden/kmar2/200104foto5.jpg

http://www.nldetirak.nl/eenheden/kmar2/200104foto4.jpg

Next is onze net verjaarde jongste bediende.

http://www.nldetirak.nl/eenheden/kmar2/200104foto3.jpg

Which I assume is the swedish ARTHUR?

During a national artillery camp in Finland last year a swedish ARTHUR-team was there as well (to get to train in a target-rich enviroment, and to demonstrate it to the finns that are thinking of buying them), from what I´ve heard it performed well, and that in a terrain that is not as "open" as the afghani one.

Finnish artillery barrage in full swing at the Rovajarvi firing range. Over 7800 rounds were fired during the 21-26 May artillery camp this year.
Photo: P Felstead/Jane’s

And it performed good despite that there was such a variety of different weapon systems firing, and that they were spread out despite shooting at the same target and so forth. Weapon systems in example:

Howitzers

Mortars

Etc etc. But I´ve read something that the canadian ARTHUR´s don´t like sand?

I think the Micro Uzi is still in usage (and perhaps Mini also ) by some units , it's just the regular Uzi went bye bye ...Well... there is a prototype new model called Uzi-Pro* (it probably will go into production at the end of 2004). I saw the pictures of such model taken at Milipol 2003 in Paris.

* - it was also called Para Micro Uzi. And yes, I saw that picture at isayeret.com, don't post it again and again, but the newer model is somewhat different.

By the way I was just wondering if the palestinians have figured out yet that rocks do not penetrate the armour of an APC. Or that of any vehicle to be exact. I mean wouldn't you feel kinda stupid if you were throwing rocks at a tank?

It makes them prowd . As you know , pride is very important thing in Arab culture , they been tought to it sence the childhood . Sometimes they pride makes them "see things" , like the victory over Israel in 1973 .
So , infact when this kid throwing a rock , for him he defeated the entire IDF right now . He can go home with pride , and to tell the story how he standed himself against tank , no more no less , and he won the tank .

What is very dangerous over it , that sometimes those little kids do carry grenades , and do use them (or sticking charges ) . They aren't suppose to get so close to the vehicle , actually , that is very risky ..

Well, they do that mostly for media's sake. More so - some of them even get payed by the media to do that. Generally speaking, media performances are quite common. I'd say that at least half of all video footage of "palestinian uprising" is an orchestrated fake. :)

Don't freak out or anything but aren't Israelis taught to be proud from a very young age. Are you guys not told that you are the promised race? God's people, descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Kabul, Afghanistan

A member of Parachute Company, Third Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment Battalion Group (3 RCR Bn Gp) gives the thumbs-up signal after scaling to the top of a building adjacent to a residential compound during a raid on Operation Tsunami. Canadian soldiers assisted Kabul City Police (KCP) in seizing a suspected narcotics node in southwest Kabul which also may have connections with the Hezb-i-Islami-Gulbuddin (HiG) terrorist group. Seventeen persons were detained without incident in the joint Kabul City Police and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Operation. The detainees are currently under the custody of the KCP and are being questioned by ISAF and the Afghan police. Members of the 3 RCR Bn Gp acted in a ‘second row’ approach on Operation Tsunami, advising and assisting the KCP. This is in line with the ISAF mandate of developing the professionalism of the various institutions of the Afghan Transitional Authority and contributing to a safe and secure environment in Kabul and its environs. Op ATHENA is Canada's contribution to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), the United Nations-Authorized mission in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Op ATHENA began in August 2003 and is currently scheduled to end late summer 2004. The mission of ISAF is to maintain security in Kabul and its surrounding areas so the Afghan Transitional Authority and UN agencies can begin rebuilding the country. At this time, ISAF comprises approximately 5,500 troops from 31 nations.

Haha!

That´s why Israel should use german quality instead, like the one below, which is used by police (in example Sweden) and military units (in example Finland) all over the globe. And especially in a country like Israel I´m sure that it would be nice to be able to switch to HE-grenades just by reloading and not by changing the whole weapon. It also has a better range. Well, much better range.

Or hm, does it exist HE to these 37 mm as well?

Javehn

No , it was done specially in 37mm caliber , in order not to mix between the meassures (between the non lethal 37mm CS canister , and 40mm grenade). It's pretty outdated meassure , i don't even know how much it's been used those days . In not proffesional hands , and operator can choke on the CS gasses by himself .
That German thingy looks pretty cool thow . I wouldn't mind to try it .

I´d say pride is very important for every normal built 2 legs animal.

Today appeared in spanish press that Nicaragua´s President declared almost sure they won´t send 2ºcontingent to Irak, they can´t spend almost money in that, the money they need is about 600.000 euros, he said he asked for this money to UN an other organizations, but he was said they prefered giving the money of Non Gubernamental Organization or UN managed organizations.
