I gave up on my zippo. Couldn't be bothered buggering around with it all the time just for the odd brew and hot feed.
A couple of plastic lighters did the job (I always had a couple, smokers are light fingered bludgers) and failing that there was always some ration pack matches lying around.

i always though zippos were teh shiznit for lighting fireworks, but butane lighters work like none other. clean and efficient.

i've had my zippo for a year and the only time it won't light is when i have to change the flint , or refill the lighter fluid. but on a windy day, the zippo proves to be useful.

no, i don't smoke but all my friends do, and they never seem to keep their lighters with them. also setting fires, when it's windy, or just anytime, it helps to have the zippo. i need new flint right now though so i haven't used it for a little whil. i should go buy some right now.
starting fires? when it's windy? sounds like you've been starting forrest fires, you don't live in california do you?
