Basic Muay-Thai is in basic military training program of all Thai military personnel. But for those in special forces they are trained to be an expert in Muay-Thai.

Would you mind giving us a brief overview of the various Thai SOF units? The one's I know of are the Army's Special Forces, Rangers, and LRRP Co.; The RTN SEALs, RTMC Force Recon, I really don't have that much info on the RTAF commando unit.

Diminique, you can find some details of Royal Thai Special Forces in www.nationreligionking.com. For the air force, we call as the Royal Thai Air Force Special Operations Regiment. The tasks are mainly for anti-hijack, VIP protection and air-base protection. They are trained to be expert in using snipping rifles and close area combat, such as on an airplane. They had training in snipper course with the Austria Cobra unit and annual training with the German's GSG-9 unit. They were in action 2 years ago when Thailand decided to send 8 C-130Hs to bring back Thai people from Cambodia. Their job is to secure the cambodian airport and guard Thais safety back to Thailand. (Those pictures will be shown later.)

This is the symbol of Thai government. (I don't know the exactly word in English of the owner of this plane. )(Royal Thai Air Force doesn't own this plane. RTAF plans to buy new aircraft for the king too.)
