Saw some of pics but stil great.

It's a limited series improvisation for the SF troops serving in Afganistan Aimpoint, torchlight and handle are comercialy avaible components, while attachments for this components were made in the armoury workshop.
I'll write more on monday (my home computer is busted).

OK, update.
Douring first term in Afganistan the special operations team sent back to Slovenia list of what should be done with their M-70. Thus in the armoury of the logistics batallion, they made the aluminium barell cover with rails, substituting the original wooden cover. Modification was made in time to equip first term team.

Hell yeah, we got a nice army indeed and its getting better and better :) Time to buy a considerable airforce :P Oh well, few days ago they said on the news, we are buying one ro two new transport planes (for A-Stan purposes i guess) 204 additional armoured veichles (52 Valuks (Pandur 6x6) and 152 Krpans (PandurIII 8x8)) An additional navy vessel (probably the Super Dvora Mk III with anti ship missiles. Then we r going to buy a training helicopter, additional air sefence systems, and 14.000 new infantry rifles, whether those are FN F2000 or G-36 remains a unsolved mistery to me :| You got to see our new sniper rifles the heaby one PGM Hecate II .50 cal Anti material rifle, and the Accuarcy Warefare Super Mag .338 lapua magnum and the new light mashine guns, the M249 5.56mm and M240 7.62mm :)

In the near future we intend to buy attack helicopters and slowly building a modern airforce, with figter jets (im betting on the Grippen or EF2000:P )

As for the pimped up M70. The optical sight, its an Aimpoint, then it has a Laser designator (manufacturer unknown) and a tactical flashlight Surefire, the rails and other attachements were made in the army armoury :)

Ok our army has finaly given a news conference on what they bought. Theyve annaunced that they succesfuly evaluated and bought the new machine guns and sniper rifles. Those are the FN Minimi Para 5.56mm (Elcan and Aimpoint sights) , and the FN MAG 7,62mm (Elcan sight). The sniper rifles: PGM/FN Ultima Ration Commando 7.62mm (Schmidt&Bender and Simrad sights), PGM/FN Mini Hecate 8.6mm (Schmidt&Bender and Simrad sights), PGM/FN Hecate II 12,7mm (Night Force and Simrad sights).

As for the new rifles, they are still evaluating the sight systems on both the F2000 adn G36, thats why they havent choosen any of the rifles yet. It is said they will announce the winner in spring 2006.

Ah, we realy need to change this cammo; at least for spring/summer. As you seen on the previous pictures we look like dark grey/green stains on tan or green carpet. For woods fighting in winter without snow it is perfect. Another drawback is that it become much darker when wet(wet soldier, sick soldier (ah nevermind)). Well, unlike Slovenia, we had war around here for 5 years. Yes, it's over for 10 years already, but it has brought economic crisis to us, and milion other problems.

And the reason why we have many different western rifles is that we are currently testing them.

But hey, soon we'll have professional army also. We are now considering offers for AFV between austrian Pandur 2 and finnish Patria. But no doubt that Steyr's Pandur 2 will win because General Dynamics owns Steyr and current goverment here in CRO is strongly tending to USA because of good relationships. After all, we don't want to get some kind of 'silent' sanctions from U.S. goverment, right? p-)
