I served six years, tough guy, as an infantryman in the Army. I joined the day after my 17th birthday. You are the kind of kid I've run into a million times - you sign the papers and the recruiter knows better but has a quota to meet.

He gives you some stickers and trinkets and you start telling everyone you're in the Army. You put the stickers on your mom's car, you start buying your own uniforms and TA-50. Then you get to basic, realize what a huge mistake you made, that you're too good for the people you're around and you really really miss your mommy. So you get ELS'ed. You won't make it. You're a chickenhawk. You talk the talk but don't want to walk the walk when it comes down to it. I've seen kids like you - that talk like you - and they all end up the same. Either under suicide watch or dragged back to the barracks at 4am by the MPs because they got caught waiting for a taxi.
