Just a quick question about hand gesture and hand signals.
is there an international code?
is there a code for law enforcement and one for the military?
is there hand signals typical to some units?

because, i had discussions with some mates (all ex-forces) who were telling me that they had different experiences (Ozzie, uk and French)
i never experienced any except on basic training, being ex-press corp and only firing a famas twice a year...
thanks.
(sorry, if it's in the wrong section of the site...)

Well, here's the US Army reference: FM 21-60 Visual Signals (http://www.unlv.edu/depts/rotc/fm21_60.pdf)

...and then there's the old favorite:

"Stay infront of me were its safe" is pretty damn classic.
