I don't know if this is the latest version, but it's the newest one that I've seen.

As for weapons, no idea. And before anyone says anything about the Crye Caseless Carbine, IT'S JUST A MOCK-UP. IT IS NOT FUNCTIONAL IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM.

Ok in the first 3 pictures there are two different helments. Is the first one a gas mask and the other just a normal one?

Both the tricolor and Multicam gear are the same. The only difference is camouflage pattern.

Coincidence?
Although personally, I wouldn't mind going into batttle looking like Master Chief, as long as they touch it up to look less Starship Troopers-like.
When is Objective Force Warrior supposed to be in place?

Check out my location. Then use your Google skills to find out where the FFW project offices are located. I'm telling you it's a different uniform because I've worn all three of them. The armor chassis has some changes, and the actual uniform is NOT the same.

And on that note, I'll shut the f*ck up.
Anyway, would you be able to give some insight into FFW? Is it comfortable to wear? How far along is the design?

Got AIM? I can't really post anything that should go thru the PEO people, but I can privately discuss my personal opinions of it.

Yeah, there's a link at the bottom of my posts that'll bring up an AIM window with my screen name.

The mask is not a gas mask, it is a communications helmet transmiter. OFW is the soldier 2010. And the HALO 2 game doesnt have OFW; I can tell a lot of differences. Also, part of the helmet has cross com communications stationed in it, it has a laser rangefinder and video camera, and it is supposed to have a heads up display window. And to the people who think it looks gay now, dont worry, IT IS STILL A PROTOTYPE!

actually...they are both paintball masks...incase the enemy is shooting frozen paint.

Actually, none of the high tech components of the helmets I've played with actually work. They're not just prototypes, they're fake.

I bet you that the guy wearing all that stuff is thinking to himself, "God do I look like a dumbass with all this crap on". The armor plate thing doesn't even completely cover his chest.

I read awhile back that the Crye armor provides better protection than the Interceptor and SAPI.

Again, as with the helmets, the Crye armor doesn't actually work yet. The plates are in development, but they do not yet exist. That's why Crye has a SAPI carrier for the armor chassis.

Also...didn't the Army just spend hella money trying to get a new camo pattern, and they put their cool new guy with a completely new pattern.
dumasses.

That's because OFW and PEO Soldier are in different buildings. This place is gay like that.

Actually, some of the material does exist for the OFW program. It is developed by NASA and NASA is 40 years ahead of everyone else in the world--Fact.

Hey do you have any idea why they switched multicam to the current colors instead of the acu colors when it first came out?

because the project is still under cryetech (or precision i may be wrong) supervision and developement

I will agree that we have the technology, it's just not actually built into a working system here yet. If it exists at all, as a working prototype, I would be surprised.
Multicam colors: The original MC was lighter. It was made darker so it works better. I'm guessing they didnt use ACUs because MC looks better in pics.
Crye is not supervising the project. They did a design to meet the FFW specs which were set by the Army.

that was the page... the u.s. army is their client. Their prototype was sent to them. doesnt that mean that they will develope it?

Just because Crye designed parts of the system (namely the helmet and armor) doesn't mean they're supervising the project.
