Good pics!

Much respect to the soldiers of the new Iraqi army and police. Although they still look like guerilla fighters.

Hope they cooperate good with the US troops!

Very good pics today, particularly this one.

pictures like this actually lower my attitude towards them, becasue they look like they go back to there old ways. Havent they learnt anything about weapon safety??? You dont see many US soliders firing there SAWs into the air jumping round like a loon

Don't be too harsch on them, it sure is unprofessional but it's part of their culture, celebrating by shooting into the air is a common phenomenom in the middle east. It's somewhat mandatory at weddings, funerals and demonstrations.

Exactly like he said. We use saver stuff like foreworks, but in the middle-east it's completely normal to use a weapon for that reason. The fact that people get injured and killed as a result of all those bullets flying around is completely normal.

I don't think it's proffesional, but it's just their way of life.

PKM'z muzzle velocity around 820m/s. If he's firing at the angle of 60 from the earth then the bullet will travel approximately 57.4 km before landing back.

Just some useless math...

Seems a bit off. Just curious but what were your numbers for the form factor and sectional density of the bullet fired?

bs firing in the air is something a part of arabic "redneck" culture. Its nothing "normal" in the arab world.
