OK, it just seems a big jump from the CNN article I read earlier saying it was 509 KIA.

That includes Afghanistan which has already cost over 100 coalition lives and will claim more.

In my opinion the casualties of ICDC should be counted in to the coalition casualty numbers as well. And maybe also the Iraqi police. After all they are working with the coalition now. Just as many of the other countries that didn´t participate in the war but just got in later. And then we can add atleast another 100 dead to the numbers.

Why? That´s war. Not just fancy photos and fancy names beginning with "Freedom", it´s bodybags as well. If people were focusing a bit more on the bodybag part of it, then they will not be as "yeeehhaaaa let´s kill em" the next time US goes to war. Knowing that american soldiers are not invincible, as their reputation has been for a long time.

I´m sure the body counting will be done to death (hm) when it´s election time in the US. Which is soon as you know. If the insurgents in Iraq shoots down lets say a transport plane with american soldiers just a couple of days before it´s time to vote, it wouldn´t look to good for Bush. And I´m sure the Democrats will be counting bodies as well.
