I want to know wether anyone with flatfeet can join the British Army,I read an article that the US army accepts people with flatfeet ,now that studies show that not all individuals with flatfeet experience pain while running or doing physical activities.
Also what about glasses ,i know that glasses are accepted in the regular British forces, but what about Royal Marines,PARAs,or say SAS or SBS?
Would really appreciate if someone could help me.

The Battle Fitness Test for the British Forces is 1.5 miles in a group in 13 minutes, and solo in 11.5 - there is the starter to work for.

The annual personal fitness assesment (APFA) covers 2 minutes of sit ups (50ish for a pass), 2 minutes of press ups (50ish for a pass) and a mile and a half run in under 10 and a half minutes - all standards are age dependant and are an absolute minimum right accross the forces...

Flat feet shouldn't be a problem if you can hack the phys. Glasses are a total no no for any selection into SF/SD unit (laser eye surgery is also banned at the moment).
