Awesome Birthday present!!!

I'm turning 30 in a couple of days and my family has known I've wanted a carbine for a while..... just couldn't afford it.

So, today my family stops on by and hand me an envelope and inside was a check. I was dumbfounded but they told me to go ahead and get the gun I want. They had been saving for a while and said "you only turn 30 once".

I headed on out to the bank (only had to grab a couple hundred myself), went to the shop and purchased my Bushmaster 16" modular carbine.

Man does it shoot great!

I'm still stunned by my family that they pitched in so much. Awesome present!!!

It'll be a while, though. Right now it's just great to shoot with the detachable sights :)

I went in, do some paperwork, waited about 20 min for background check, all ok, paid the money and then I picked the rifle up. Got a 30 and 10 rnd mag plus 50 bullets with the rifle. I bought an extra 30 rnd mag and 50 bullets with it.

And ty again all!! :D

I asked for the super-deeduper package. It fires hellfire, lahat, eryx, kornet, aim-9x, aa-11 etc....

It's even got a 900mw laser!

Just imagine sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

The base model is $1000. With the add ons it was $1300. State tax on weapons was $300, making the total $1600

i know its not the base model...I owned both and the special edition anniversary carbine still payed much less than $1600 for both ..sorry guys deals are all over just got look a little more is all... but still sweet rifle and you will have lots of fun....got rid of my ARs becouse hate the gas system and the 223 round, ended up going with a DSA FAL tactical carbine(308) and a krebs custom KT3-03S (7.62x39) both gas piston systems extremely reliable and awesome to shoot.....check them out :) peace

You are right. There are many deals out there.

Problem is around this small area there aren't many dealers. I also don't trust everything I see on the net, especially after a friend of mine was scammed for parts recently. Granted it was ebay, but it's the net.

I still paid under the MSRP and I am happy with my new rifle. That's all that counts. Thank you for the advice, though :)

The iron sights on the XM-15 are almost identical to those of the M1 Garand. That's pretty cool :)
