Tis the old PAGSAT vest, lots of stateside units still have them lying around.

it is still a blue-gray pixilized tiger stripe, they just subdued the colors a bit so it wouldnt stand out as much.

Isn't it a bit too bright? I mean, it almost looks like it is washed out to me...

Because the latter is commercial Tigerstripe ordered from uscav shop catalogue, Inconnu ;)
Fantassin explained once how the choice was made.

they are still testing these new uniforms
ive seen a few of them around my base here. thank god ill be out of the military when they start issuing these ugly things out.
If it's useful I don't care if it's ugly, so my question would be: it's useful this type of camo?

What is curious is why are they wearing a frag vest in the first place. This vest provides zero protection against small arms fire without a heavy add-on.

its no worst than the old woodland camo, its just that everyone is use to it now. the samething will happen with what ever camo the Airforce goes with. If it was up to me, I would gone with a standard green set up. As it looks better and when needed can be used in the field, but that would be way too old school and the air forces bosses would never go for it.
