Do away with cash

I'm tired of dealing with cash. I hate places that dont accept CC. ALL vending machines should take CC. I think they should do away with cash completely. I know a ton of old farts *cough* Cali Joe *cough* would be pissed cause they pay everything with cash.

I rarely carry more then 20 dollars in cash in my wallet. And I hate having change.

That place is the closest I have seen to a cashless society. Public Transport, Fast food, taxis, everything is attached to it! Called a Octopus Card!

The idea is mad! I am not saying get rid of cash....it was created for a purpose. But now we have developed safe, secure and accesible tech. that can fulfill some of the purposes of cash in a more convenient manner!

On the other hand. It destroys the intimacy of people relatiing to each other. the casual chat to the check out chick or the friendly rumour from the kebab man. Things like this will be the downfall of such a scheme.

i would like to ehar som HK members add to this.
