those are awesome.
Aw, man! I remember when I was younger, I was really into these remote control things!
And at that time, they were just coming out with the "mini jet turbine"! So cool!
I once had the opportunity to fly a ducted fan-powered, scale F-15! Boy, was that an experience!
But they wouldn't let me fly the jet-powered ones... :(
Perhaps it was because I nearly crashed my own little plane into a gaggle of spectators!

I have a video of the F22 on my comp. It sounds pretty real as it screams past. And I have seen a Warthog, probably just another company however. It was incidentally one of the better looking ones IMHO.

Do those models actually fly? If I saw those flying around my neighborhood I would shoot them down with my 12 gauge! now that would be entertaining!! :D

Yep, they sure do!
When I was a kid I was given an old military drone that looked like a MiG-31. Learned all about engines by fixing up that thing. :D
Just a little useless trivia. A major part of the people who do it are retired Air Force/Airline guys. I'm talking WWII Army Air Corps old. :P

The turbines can go pretty damned fast. In excess of 100 mph, at least. Maybe 200-300. I have not kept up to date with it, so I don't know. I know they have races though, so they must be pretty quick.
And it's pretty damned expensive too :|
Especially those mini-jets. They can run into the thousands. More money than I have, anyway.
The smaller propeller driven models are around 80-100 bucks, I think.
So I guess that rules out using them for airborne target practise... :)

Maybe if you're Bill Gates or the Sultan of Brunei. Those jets would sure make a nice explosion, though!

:cantbeli: talk about lobbing one in there for him Haiw. What are you doing? Trying to get back into his good graces?
Well actually I shoulda passed that remark onto you but I guess I'm just kinda upset now that CJ has expressed his hate for me. :(
Why would I have to try and get back into his good graces when I never dropped out of 'em? ;)

'Haiw' is the sound you make after being kicked in the nuts.
It's like "Whap!" and then all the air leaves you and you make this noise "haaaiiiiiiiwwwww....."
What?
That's what California Joe told me.
Not exactly... its basically Ha-iw, the first part just like Ha as in 'Haha Trigger don't listen to CJ' and Iw like ew as in 'Hope CJ is happy now that he's gonna need nEW nuts'... p-)

Obviously an "outlaw" word, because if it followed the rules of phonics it would be ****ounced "haw." (However, names are often exempt from those rules.)
"when two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking, and it says it's own name."
Just sayin' ;)
Or maybe it's just not ****ounced yankee-style? :P

Well.... you see TP, I have issues. I like to be the center of attention... not the center of a crowd. :)
