In the documentation surrounding the M234 less-than-lethal ring airfoil grenade launcher, there is mention of being rigged up to a rifle classified as M1GA1, as well as, the M16A1. A google search for M1GA1 brought up a lot of references to the M755 grenade launching cartridge, but also to MILES gear, and I was wondering if anyone has an info on this thing.

This looks suspiciously like a typo. A G looks very much like a 6 . . . M1GA1 = M16A1. Would not be the first time. Many military documents display lousy editing.

That's initially what I thought too, and now you've been proved to be correct with the reference to the M1GA1 and M1GA2 to FM 23-9, but I find it curious that this typo hasn't been caught when transfering the information over to an electronic setup.
