I think he meant detachable box magazine, not tube.

If detachable Box magazine is the ONLY criteria, then its the USAS-12.
Its all about capacity.

yes, sorry should have specified, I meant box mag....
I would have put the USAS-12 in the poll options too, but I didnt think they were readily available outside of police and military use, so I guessed not too many people would have shot them...
the only (box mag fed) shottie I have used was the saiga and it worked well except for actually changing mags which was a pain, read somewhere they were addressing the problem though...

The Saiga is nice, cheap, shotgun. Shot both the 12 ga and the .410 and had not a problem with either. Mags seemed to work just like an AK. You just rotate it in.
Now, I would like to see high capacity mags, rather than JUST the 5 round types.

I dont remember exactly what the problem was with the mag changes on the saiga, but if I remember it was only when the bolt was closed....
and yeah, 5 shots aint too much, but supposedly there are 8 round mags for the saiga...

German IPSC Shotgun championship was won with a Saiga 12 this year.
Best bang for the buck and people are working on 10rounders for it, 8rounders are readily available here, www.waffenschumacher.com

This is a sh1t poll n00b - why won't you add the suggested shotguns to the poll?

Saiga for me
Shot the military version and civilian. For me its always reliability, and than capacity.

Not like the SPAS-15 is walking out the doors of sporting goods stores and gun shows in great numbers. ;)

Everything i've read about the USAS-12 indicated it was a bit of a dud, no ?
Actually, there is a magazine/drum kit available for the Mossberg 5XX series. It is VERY expensive.
I tell you, that Saiga is sweet. Hey, it's a shotgun with the reliability of an AK. DING DING DING...WINNAH!

If you are talking about the Sidewinder series of drums and box magazine conversions, they really are not that expensive, running from about 100.00 or so to 250.00 USD.
And, um, we are talking about shotguns. MOST shotguns have the reliability of an AK. ;)
Edit: The box magazine set-up is not bad. The drum though sucks. It throws the balance way off since the drum sits center and to the right. it also extends out a fair bit. The box mag is about the same dimensions as a M14 mag and, obviously sits centerline.
i dont understand the new mag fed shotties. hell im not even to fond of semi automatic shotties. i guess i am just old school like that. ;)
give me a 870, 590, or 1300 any day.

ok, sorry if you guys want me to I can put the USAS-12 and the AA-12 in the poll, but I wouldnt have thought people actually had access to them. cause I thought the USAS-12 was for mil or police and I thought the AA-12 was still in developement. And the only box-mag fed shotties I have seen in shops around here are the saiga and the spas15...
I never knew about the mossberg conversion kit though, so I guess I could put it in the poll too, but I was trying to limit the poll to box-mag fed shotties that people have actually used(really used, not AS or rainbow six bs). If someone actually posts that he shot it, I will put it in the poll, is that fair?

The AA-12 IS in development still. No one is using it or has it issued.
Not a box magazine, but its a great gun, and in this photo I have four rounds in the air (one is not ejected yet and JUST being fired).
