In relation to the Jessica Lynch story, I agree with Front on the fact that she deserves all the money she can get. My question is: in 5 -10 years is she going to be the subject of ridicule and conflicting after action reports regarding her conduct like Andy McNab?
Think about it. :|

She probably already is, especially from some of the "no women in the military" crowd. That is unfortunate, but armchair soldiers always would have done things better. Just ask them, they'll tell you how cool they are.

What has she said or done to deserve ridicule?

Nothing as far as I know. I'm just wondering if after her life story is played out on TV and books, are armchair skeptics going to try to dissect her?

what pisses me off is theres a mini movie being made about her story, and everybody is giving her special attention and ignoring the fact that she was one of 8 pows, and was probly the most un heroic of them all! im disgusted that she gets more time in the spotlight than the others when she didnt do anything special to deserve it.

Elite Wolf; Has she asked for that attention???

Elite: no sarcasm intended, but has ANYONE heard the 'official' account of what happened? Who knows what she did/didn't do that was heroic?
by 'official' I don't mean a fantasy version spun by the media.

well, i feel she gets more attention than the other POWs. maybe its because shes a 19 year old female, i dont think thats very fair though.

That's exactly what I was talking about. How do you know if she was heroic or un heroic? Why are you pissed off by somthing about which you know nothing? :cantbeli:
