How would I take a screenshot of a movie file?

hit "PRINT SCREEN" in the top right hand corner of your keyboard. Then open MS Paint and paste the image there.

well, that doesn't work with most movie players because they use directX to display it, which writes straight to video card memory which print screen wouldn't see. You'll just see a big black or purple square where the image should be. in windows media player, it's ctrl-I, or you can use a program called http://www.irfanview.com/ which specifically can save screenshots from videos.

Okay smart people, how do I capture a pic off a dvd - this really is a pain in the bum.

i know powerdvd has a button that will take a still of the current frame.

A lot of players feature a utility to do screen grabs. My Win TV DVD player just has a button on the toolbar to do it. Maybe you can find a freeware prog to use.

Is Jenna Jameson really worth all that trouble?
