one of Mi-8 (old photo)
And couple of photos of mi-8 which crash-landed in december ,prime minister was onboard, no one died, no one seriously wounded, thanks to pilot skills (both engines failed and he emergency landed in FOREST !!! note wooden log in pilots cabin !!!!)Specialists said that no casaulties was due to very good construction of mi-8 which absorbed most of the shock, and that if it was a western made helicopter noone would made it (they falled from ca. 600m with 2 engines down using only autorotation descend rate was 10m/s)

You're promoting your AF1 very intensively in books, movies, TV. In bussiness this usually means that such thing is real crap. :)

Yea but if it was President Bush "Marine One" Blackhawk, engines would work, and it would not have gone down at all. :D

Well this accident was due to weather condition copter was very high and temparature was above zero +4C when they descended to land in clouds it suddenly droped to -8C !!! near ground (it's caled inversion) .... and intake of air for the engine was covered in ice and this was the cause of accident (automatic anti-icing systems just did not warmed up enaught to remove ice from engine...)

Man, after looking at all those ramp shots - don't they have Roundup in Russia?
UkrainianSpetsnaz
01-28-2004, 05:27 PM
LOL no no roundup. See Russian airplanes are made to take ****. The airliners and cargo liners are made to take off gravel and dirt roads, no concrete needed... and plus it's an issue with $$$

Well polish colour scheme is red and white strips horizontally so our planes are 100% patriotic... take a look above...99% in national colours :-)

Same in the UK, Blair uses this plane (I'll find the name in a sec) for travel in the UK and various British Ariways jets the rest of the time.

IF IT WAS AN AMERICAN HELICOPTER THE ENGINES WOULDN'T HAVE FAILED MOST LIKELY BECAUSE WE AMERICANS DON'T USE DUCT TAPE AND ELMER'S GLUE AS MATERIALS WHEN CONSTRUCTING HELICOPTERS
