The Army is investigating complaints that soldiers posted photographs of Iraqi corpses on an Internet site in exchange for access to ****ographic images on the site, officials said Tuesday.

An Islamic civil rights group said it wrote to Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld objecting to the practice, which it said may violate international laws of war, and urging the Pentagon to bring it to an end.

''This disgusting trade in human misery is an insult to all those who have served in our nation's military,'' Arsalan Iftikhar, legal director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said in his letter.

Bryan Whitman, a spokesman for Rumsfeld, said the Pentagon had recently become aware of Internet postings and is looking into it.

''Obviously, it is an unacceptable practice,'' Whitman said.

Sorry I know it's a serious issue but for some reason I can't help myself from laughing.

If that's your first thought, I have to ask if you've ever dressed up like your mother and have had feelings of stabbing people while they shower? :P

I don't like dressing in girl's clothing but I like but I do like dressing in girl's skin. Very slimming.

I don't get it.

Is there some shortage of **** so that one would have to trade for it?

To believe this story, one would have to assume that **** on the internet is so hard to come by, that one has to obtain pictures of dead people to get it. Have you ever used google before? Just about any search term you choose turns up ****.

I know the website they are talking about and only some of the images are graphic, probably no more so than what is posted here occassionally.

BTW why is it bad form to post images of dead terrorists YET people are calling for pictures of american dead to be made available in the media? Double standards...of course

As you havent posted here efore my post wasent aimed at you. it was aimed towards of example russ.dill that tried to deny/ignore that the site existed.

On the subject of pictures. Could it be that your socalled "terrorists" can be anything but that, so it is bad form to post both dead american soldiers AND dead Iraqi insurgents (using insurgents for lack of better word, as there are a lot of persons falling under that heading that are bystanders and civilians).

There have many complaints from the press on our side about the images displayed of our dead. Should the dead be treated as entertainment for a load of wannabes. Most of these photographs are not taken by the people that are involved the fighting but by those you follow up. Just ask your self if it was a relation of yours that had been blown bits then shown all over the internet, would you be pleased by this spectacle and would you object to it, also ask your parents just what they would think about it if it was you.
