Would someone know when production of this machine gun ceased? Jane's INFANTRY WEAPONS 1977 already states it was "out of production". And what about those guns mounted on recent vehicles like the Leclerc -- has production resumed or do they get old guns? Thanks!

It's old LMG who has begun to be replaced by the FN Minimi in the Infantry regiments. But i think (and hope) the FN MAG will be choosed for that task, since a 7.62 MG is really needed.

About the Leclerc, i dunno, but it's still used (co-axial MG is a modified version of the M2).

I think they've stopped the production, but AAT-F1 are still used :| (before the AA-52's stocks will be fully replaced by something better like FN MAG)
