View Full Version : MOLLE II FLC, Stnd Issue?

I've got a question for you Marines out there. I'm not sure if the SDS MOLLE II FLC is still issue or not. I have people saying it is, and others saying it isnt. Can some please clarify this? Thanks in advance.

Active duty Marines around here said it is still issued piece.

There's use for both. There are situations where you need to wear BA but not to many pouches - like when you're turret gunner in HMMWV. Then you can have FLC or other webbing with ammo pouches and stuff at hand. Some setups are also more comfortable when worn with vest on BA - SAW gunners with 2-4 200rnds puches are better off with fixing them on FLC's than directly to Interceptors. Anyway much is up to personal preferences.

dunno about the marines, but the majority of us liked to have some kind of stand-alone setup instead of attaching everything onto the IBA. there are lots of times where its just too much ****...trying to get into the areas under houses, inside of stairwells, etc. times like that we'd drop kit and just go in with IBA and a 9 mil. fair number of people put things right on the IBA though, just a matter of your preference.
