Last April I ordered my own set of Bekas Tiger stripe BDU...this is my review.
The first thing I noticed is that this BDU is DEFINATELY not for the "grunts". Case in point, you cannot roll up the sleeves. The wrists are sewed smaller than the rest of the arm. Another point is that there are snaps on the shoulder, so wearing a backpack digs into your shoulder.
Now, onto the pros of the BDU. Some of the pros is the mesh inserts in the armpits and in the groin. Very very good idea and it sure helped me cool down where I live. Other nice things is the knife pocket (i dont use it obviously). Only problem I see with it, is its on the right side, so if you are right handed its hard to grab a knife out if it with your free hand, so you would have to put down your rifle to get it...albeit since I got it for paintball, it doesnt matter. Another awesome feature is its partially water proof. When oil or water hits it, it beads up and rolls off. Obviously if its pouring rain I dont think it will hold up (havent played in pouring rain yet). The ankle little "catch" so that bugs etc. dont go up your pants is cool, as I play in areas with tall grass and prone to ticks. It has a cool water proof pocket inside the jacket, two pockets in the front chest, two side pockets on the pants, and two cargo pockets. It has an individual first aid packet (it'd prolly work good for smokes, i dont smoke but...) on the arm. It has elastic cuffs on the pants so they dont hike up, but...sometimes it gets annoying. The Knee and Elbows are reinforced so they wont rip as easily.
So in conclusion its a great set. But they are definately not "fatigues" as they are a little bit tighter (the fabric is more synthetic so its more...starchy). Thats my only complaint is I wish it was a little more baggy so it doesnt constraint movement but I still love it
