The Fallen

Weep not for me,for what I've done
I gave my life,a fathers son
And now I've gone remember me
I gave my life for liberty

Weep not for me,don't shed your tears
My duty done through all these years
I took my oath,I pledged to thee
I gave my life for liberty

Weep not for me,don't be sad
Remember my Brothers that I had
For what I did, They would have done
Lay down their lives,as Father's son's

Weep not for me,please don't cry
Please don't question,the reason why
For on my arm I wore my flag
It's colours bright....no faded rag

Weep not for me,now I've gone
Our Mission here will carry on
I gave my life ,to set them free
I gave my life for liberty

That nearly made me cry like a wee girl.

Thanks Argyll, for reminding me today of the sacrifices made by our nations' armed forces. I needed it.
