Just saw the ANTIKILLER! Fantastic! Number 1 movie in Russia 2002!
Anyone else seen it?

That movie is dumb, "Antikiller 2" is even dumber...
Book is soooo much better and closer to real life.

A cop who done some time in prison, came out and deals with criminals with their own methods.

Nooot exactly....
"Tango and Cash" was funny, this one has lots of "life-like" violence and some other flavors of life in Russia.
I'd recommend to watch it just to see how Russian movies differ from Hollywood but it is no masterpiece by any means. In my opinion they just screwed up really good book.

No but it is loosely based on realities of Russian life/business in the early to mid '90s.
It does have some good fight scenes a la "Gangs of New York" (of course on a smaller scale and with a less budget :) )
basically it is a movie that you might see once but won't go back.

R.T what was the name of the Russian action movie about islamic terrorists made in the 1980's lead actor was a hard looking b*stard, sort of Rambo with brains and more hardware.

If you are interested in seeing some good, recent Russian movies I 'd recommend: "War", "Bumer" and "Brigade".
