To me this is priceless. Michele Malkin features this on her blog...

I actually watched this lady this morning on local news talk about the 'severe' flooding and 'devastating' current the waters were presenting to officials...

I thought there were waist deep waters careening through the northeast. But actually this lady was paddling a canoe in 4 inches of water...hehehe.

Apparently, and I didn't see it, Katie Couric and Matt Lauer were featuring this and these two guys walked by ruining the effect... and revealing that the reporter who was hyping the effects of the storm was busted. Even they dogged on her...

"young reporter Michelle Kosinski has been on the scene for Today in New Jersey, working the story. In an apparent effort to draw attention to herself, in yesterday's segment she turned up in hip waders, standing thigh-deep in the flood waters.

Taking her act one step further, this morning she appeared on a suburban street . . . paddling a canoe. There was one small problem. Just as the segment came on the air, two men waded in front of Kosinki . . . and the water barely covered their shoe tops! That's right, Kosinski's canoe was in no more than four to six inches of water!

An embarrassed Kosinski claimed the water was deeper down the street but that her producers didn't want to let her go there for fear she'd drift away. But Katie and Matt, perhaps peeved by her attempted scene-stealing, couldn't resist ribbing her.

Matt: "Are these holy men, perhaps walking on top of the water?"

"Gee, is your oar hitting ground, Michelle?" inquired Katie, as she and Matt dissolved into laughter. "

This will end up in one of the bloopers reels...

I meant to post this in the politics forum since it is a reflection of the "staged" media story about the military briefings, but I fubbed up and put it in general discussion. Anyone can feel free to move it.

Is it any surprise from Michelle Malkin's blog. We are talking about a woman who the last 10 of her major editorials that I saw, 6 were fabrication and the other 4 were mindless ranting and opinions. Can you really even call Michelle Malkin a journalist? She seems to get most of her news from the dredge report and use stories as the truth even when they have retracted the story themselves. She is a disgrace.

Same here. I also got a good laugh out of seeing how blown out of proportion the whole disaster was by the media and Mayor Nagin.
