first unemployement is strictly ECONOMY not politic and as a child knows economy is lead by bigs companies and banks! The biggest companies and market are in the US so your economy is normaly better (despite the fact that 30millions of americans are poors). In a World economy it's bigs companies who choose where they offers jobs! And it seems that for US companies like others (but it's you who always give lessons) there's no problem to be in communists countries or military states where humans rights are just words!
If Europe loose jobs because we don't accept working for a bowl of rice it seems that US is the next target for ultra-capitalism.
Concerning WW1 and WW2: the US came at the end of WW1 and it gave the equality of soldiers numbers for each side so it ended the war quickly.
But for WW2, the US enter in war only because of Japan and the Uboat menace on the Liberty ship! Never the US enter in war for the eyes of UK , Europe or freedom!
