Seoul, yes they are comparable to the U.S 'SWAT' teams or Canadian ETF teams. EKAM operators will be shouldering a large part of the 'burden' in the upcoming Olympics.

Wheb I was there 4 Jears ago they had small old Revolvers! And some had Pistols but I cant remember the Type. Did this change?

Glock: I will post some more tommorrow. I do know that the HK USP 9mm was selected as the new handgun for the Greek police and it is in the process of being integrated to all units (Olympics and all).

Very good policemen the EKAM from what I see. Though when I was visiting Athens once I have to admit most of the ordinary police needed to lose some weight and join a gym, get a haircut and trim their moustaches. Also if they looked more on the ball than drinking their frappe would help.
On the other hand I found the motorbike cops a bit more impressive with their speeding through the town.

But wich Pistols did the Greek Police use?
You said that the new Pistol is the USP. But do they also use other Pistols? When I had benn to Greek 4 Years ago they had old revovlers and some had Pistols maby FN HP but I cant remember.

As I wrote last I knew most units were transitioning to the HK USP 9mm.

I have an uncle in the force (haven't seen him in years) but remember an old Browning as his sidearm. Much of the time officers bought they own sidearm.

You may still find revolvers being used but with the Olympic games the Police force has gone through a large upgrade program and this includes ALL units getting a standard sidearm.
