Notice the scope on this one
This rifle belongs to the Unit of FSB, that goes and operates in Chechnya at least 6 times a year.
The scope was given to them by us. We pruchased it in US, and wanted to help our brothers out with new optics.
I soon will have the latest photos from their tour, using our scope and gear
heheheh

Perskii - thanks for posting. Any chance we'll get to see the photos from that tour when you get them? Hope so. Thanks in advance.

Mmmmm.
I see 2 VSS rifles, an RPG7b (?), 1 PKM, 2 Dragunov's, 2 AK-74's, 1 Bizon and several Tokarev's.
The only I can't identify without researching is the squirt gun at the bottom right.

I'd actually get a kick out of seeing that end cap removed from the bizon. Or at least seeing how the thing is loaded. I wonder if it's as funky as the FN-90.

Bizon is the best SMG i've ever shot
MP5 comes in close second.

A question:
Since bizon seems like a good smg, why dont they export it and advertize it? It seems like its a natural competitor against ,say, P90
RomanS
02-04-2004, 05:00 PM
They are supplying the entire Russia, and other ex Soviet states are interested in buying.
But they are trying to advertise the **** out of it as much as they can, its just not enough money for it.

I really liked the pictures they were done well. The only problem was I couldn't tell what each of the weapons were. Like was the pistol with a silencer a makarov and also what was that green colored sniper rifle?

PermskiiOMON,
Why do you think the Bizon is a better SMG than the MP5. I don't know too much about the Bizon so I was just curious.
George W. Bush
02-04-2004, 10:46 PM
I dont think an open bolt blowback is better than the MP5

I dont think an open bolt blowback is better than the MP5
And we don't care what you think since you have never shot "Bizon" :)
I dont think an open bolt blowback is better than the MP5
Neither do I but what difference does that make?
Bizon fires from a closed unlocked bolt.

Lets see how my weapon recognition skills are:
From the left in the back lying down are the 9A-91 assault rifle, then either a VSS silenced sniper rifle or an AS silenced assault rifle (I'd need to see the butt stock to be sure). Next is a helmet that is sitting on a black (practise) RPG-7 rocket fitted to a launcher... the pistol grip of which can be seen between the green box mag for the PKM and the bipod of the PKM.
Lying on the RPG round from the left front the first pistol looks like a PYa Grach pistol, then the APS stechkin machine pistol, next looks like a second Grach pistol and then a silenced Makarov. Bottom right from bottom to top is either a Klin or Kedr SMG and then a Bizon SMG.
Now the background from left to right is an SVD with a synthetic stock, scope and bipod, an SVD with wooden stock then a PKM and then two AK-74s, the first with a night vision scope and the second without a scope.
For the reast of the photos, as they appear on the first page, the first is a Makarov silenced pistol with special holster. Note the interrupted thread on the silencer means you can slide it on and give it one turn to fit it to the barrel.
The second picture shows a PKM.
The third picture is a new SVD with synthetic stock.
The fourth pic see above.
The fifth picture the top weapon is the VSS silenced sniper rifle in 9x39mm and the lower weapon is the AS silenced assault rifle in 9x39mm.
(Both firing very heavy subsonic projectiles)
The sixth picture is the SV-98 sniper rifle in 7.62 x 54R.
The seventh pic is a PKM.
The eigth is four PKM against a wall.
The ninth is an SV-98 with a suppressor. (ie reduces noise and makes shooter harder to locate but still ehar the crack of supersonic bullets.)
The tenth image is a nice shot of a Silenced Makarov with the silencer fitted.
The eleventh is the SV-98.
The twelvth photo is 16 Obr Spn and someone I don't recognise.
How did I go? (Not 100% sure about the Grach pistols).
I should add that comments I have heard about the Bizon have been good. Those that have tested it say the lack of a magazine sticking down out the bottom of the weapon mean you can get lower and closer to things without it monopoding. One even tested loading high impulse and standard 9 x 18mm rounds plus 9 x 19 rounds all in one mag. (this was in the version with grooves in the chamber so that more powerful rounds could be used) The accuracy was pathetic as the trajectories of the different rounds were completely different but there were no stoppages. With the standard 9 x 18mm rounds the bolt was recoiling only a short distance. With the more powerful 9 x 18mm PMM and 9 x 19mm rounds the bolt was reciolling right back to the limits of the receiver. The longer recoil lowered the rate of fire and improved the feel of the weapon in full auto. During one test one of the testers emptied a whole 67 round magazine into the target in one burst. The pattern was about a foot across at 50m and circular... ie a chestfull of lead.
