Iveco Fiat-OTO Melara excluded from Czech new WAIFV

Does anibody know the reasons why the Iveco/Fiat's vehicle ( "CENTAURO" VBC i suppose) has been excluded from the competion for a new Czech Wheeled Armoured Infantry Vehicle?

Probably just something to do with the way contracts are bid on.

The country puts out a tender, the manufacturers put forward a design and cost. The country then shortlists thir favourites and they go on to the technology demonstrator stage from which the winning design is chosen.

If its even before the tender is being put out, there may be political or financial reasons for the exclusion.
