Larry, you have to be more specific when posting CGN for newbies.....very easy for them to get lost in there ;) There might be more Masterkey photos listed on CanadianGunnutz but the places to look would be under the Black Rifles section, the Shotguns section or in the photo gallery in the CGN community section. Iirc, there were a few pics but that was long ago and you will have to do some searching of the database to find them. Hope this helps.

Seems a little impractical in real life to use that shutgun extension.
You now have 2 triggers and a pump. It seem that they basically jury rigged a regular shotgun. It would've been far better to have the shotgun trigger on the pump handle itself.

In my opinion, I see this as more of master key to open doors with. The shortness of the barrel would keep it from being accurate for more than a 10 yards. A breech weapon, mounted under barrel on your M16 or M4 would be one less thing you need to carry on your back.
Anyone here have some operational stories about this type of set up?

It is basicly a breaching tool with a secondary use as a CQB weapon. As for the person looking for op stories, I don't think that this weapon is operational yet except for maybe some combat trials, not positive about this though.

The masterkey has proved to be useless.
The purpose of an under barrel mounted shotgun is solely for breaching.
The problem lies in the fact the barrel is so far under the sights it makes it damn near impossible to line up on a hinge or lock since you can't sight down the barrel. It also turns the M4 into a nose heavy pig.
Far better is a short barreled shotgun with a pistol grip, bead sight and stand off mounted on the barrel. Shoot your breach rounds then throw it over your back and take you place in the stack.

Correct. The rangers (and probably all other SF too) already use a shortened breach-shotgun that is attached to the vest with a short sling. After use it simply hangs from the vest roughly on the position of the hip (of where you wouldcarry your drop-leg sidearmpouch).

Oz Special Forces use them (probably in limited capacity)
I picked one up at an air show in Melbourne and they make the M4 bloody heavy.

Not that it matters at all in this case, but:
While a very good point in general, I'll note that there's been a return by some Native American/Indian/First Peoples to using the term American Indian to describe themselves.
So yes, although originally a misnomer, the term has been adopted by many groups to the extent that some prefer it over other titles.
Of course like any racial or ethnic term, sometimes it seems there's no "right" answer since no matter what you use will be objected to by someone sooner or later.
<Gets off soapbox>
Billy was awesome. I always wanted his over/under with the shotgun.

Oh ****, better start calling me a German-Italian-English American, before I take you to court!
I live in Oklahoma (you know, were we keep the Indians), in the heart of the Choctaw Nation to be exact. In my experience American Indians are the least interested in political correctness of any group and most (actually all I've ever met, and that's a lot) refer to themselves as Indians (or NDNS in internet chat :p ). But of course anything said in a certain tone or context can be made an insult, even "hey you!"
Okay, back on track. I've seen several variations of this combo and it definitely rates high on the 'looks cool' scale I tend to believe those who think poorly of it in actual application. The idea has been around for 20yrs or more. If it worked well there would at least one in every squad by now.

That gun's got balls.
By the way, I would dump the pump and go with a semi-auto shotgun.

The British call 'Indians' as we know them, 'Asians'. But you are quite correct eitherway :)

The native americans call the aussies.. brit prisoners..
House said it best.."You put the queen on your money, your british"
Out of respect..the native americans prefer to be called....
Native Americans.
EDIT:
The Mastkey would be useful for a less-than lethal system..but it seems heavy.
Watch the movie The One. (Jet Li is in it)
The SWAT cops use some kind of M4 with a funky looking shotgun similar to what noooob.de and sten3 posted
