Official gear issued to US soldier

hey guys , i;m putin together a costume and i want it to be as authentic as possible ,

i know i need the following items
ACU or odler BDU
Boots,
Helmet with cover

now i have seen lots of pics of soldiers with different types of packs and i dont know what exactly is issued to your general Infantry Soldier ind the US Army.

so if you could tell me what else is needed (and issued) that would be great

even though few of us actually use it,we were issued MOLLE II. comes with a pack (including assault pack) FLC, various pouches.

The easiest kit to get would be...

Woodland BDUs
Woodland Patrol Cap or ABS PASGT Helmet with woodland cover
medium ALICE pack(with frame)
ALICE webbing(2x ammo pouches, 2x canteens, 1x buttpack, 1x compass/field dressing pouch, 1x belt, 1x Y suspenders)
Black Leather Combat Boots or Jungle Boots


Toss some random sh*t into the pouches and ruck sack to make them look full too.

okay thanx, so all this stuff i see the sodiers have, (Camelback, extra mag pouches, cool packs and webbing) they paid for ? or did the Gov like riemburse them

Some of its issued, some(maybe most) of the gucci kit you see guys with, they've bought it.

I think the government is reimbursing troops who've bought their own body armour.

we were issued camelbaks in theater, but a lot of guys got the tactical tailor hydration bag. works better on molle if you add more loops to the back

Become a ranger if u dont wanna spend money on marpat.
DCU set
DCU interceptor (ebay knock off with pouches will do for just a costume)
Mich helmet (ebay knock off but high quality)
DCU mich helmet cover
desert boots
camelback
nomex gloves
cheap shooting glasses from botach for $5
n tat'll do for a not-so complete costume.

As a trained and certified US ARMY Paratrooper, the most genuine uniform you could hope to emulate is.. a pair of jungle boots, Kevlar, a light coat of CLP and a smile.
Well, that would be the standard uniform while on pass.
