I got in an argument, some guy says marines yell "hoo rah" with the "h" ****ouced, I am sure that it is "ohh rah"

Who is right?

I love when speakers or other people not in the service try to say "hooah" it always sounds really really corny.

*hoooah kill * thats what i say on a normal basis. all the privates seem to think its funny for some reason.

i used to say airborne alot but the first sergeant called me out in front of the whole battalion one time for sayying that. joke em if they can't take a ****(kcuf)

Funny story I was told once regarding this subject by a Royal Marine Captain;

He'd been on some form of attatchment with the yanks with some other chaps from his unit, and they were all sat in this classroom waiting for a lesson. In walks the Officer giving the lessons and goes "Can we get a hoooah" (or however you ****ounce it. All the yanks join in whilst the Marines sit there looking slightly bemused, Officer giving the lesson comes over to the Captain and goes "I think your men have a motivation problem!"
