Greetings, just got a question for soldiers, marines, or contractors. What is your preferred gear right now? BlackHawk Industries?

If you just got medically discharged, wouldn't you know?
Your only other post is asking how to get a .mil email account...if you had been active duty in the last 6 months, you would have been required to have one.
Suspicious...

I got medically discharged after getting hurt with a torn ACL/meniscus which happened a little over three months after boot camp graduation. Never been to Iraq, though still a military buff. The only gear I used in boot were standard issue USGI, cuz you weren't allowed to use any other crap (duh). Some of my pals started customizing their loadout during MCT, folding knives, LED lights, and all. I was carrying a Leatherman blade and a generic camelback copycat thing during then. I want to know about what non-USGI accouterments they are using in Iraq.
You think I wanna look cool online or something? Who are you, some kinda MP?

I know all about not being able to use the gear you want, and I'm not an MP.
So you're out now, but you still want to know what gear is being used?
Why do you need a .mil account, if you're out? Also, why don't you still have one, if you just got out?
And Marine is capitalized. A Marine would know this...

Let's just say that I want to get one so I can be verified online just for proving wrong those little kids who like to argue that they know it all online...lol. But it eventually gets to be more trouble than it is worth. No more on this one.

I don't need one to play it, I just need one for an EGA avatar. Would go good with my 65 honor account. Oh well, I got some buddies still in the Corps who might let me borrow theirs. Thanks anyhow.

You're a ****tard. His two first posts didn't add up, and to someone with military experience, the whole email thing didn't make sense.
He claimed to have just been med boarded, yet, he doesn't still have a .mil account, and he's looking for info on gear in Iraq? What kind of sense does that make?
The kid wanted a .mil account so he could play videogames.

Sorry for asking rok, but what's the idea with that .mil account and games? You got promoted after killing some OPFOR or what? ;-)
And I agree with you - guy looks fishy to me.

He says it's so he can get "an EGA avatar" for his character. I don't know what game he's talking about, I've only ever played BF2 online.
All I know, he's not a Marine, Soldier, sailor or Airman, so he doesn't deserve a .mil account. That could be used to get sensitive information under false pretenses on various websites, and that wouldn't be cool.

Exactly, .mil is reserved for DoD commands. And aparently retirees from the military. Thanks Jedburgh.
Dumbass questions though.

Not sure what EGA means but its for Americas Army...you get a certain avatar next to their name depending on their branch.

I guess EGA usually is an acronym for Eagle Globe Anchor - the USMC symbols.

It's spelled "ecoutrements" I believe. French word. If you'd all stop bashing the French long enough to ask I'm sure they could verify.

I think the Frenchies are busy with the fire now, maybe later they could verify that word for you CJ...

That word "accouterments" should actually be the real name of this forum.
