I saw this in the Torygraph this morning.

As pilot error has been blamed and Capt. Stricklin transferred I guess this happened a while ago.

Nice photo though!

The Thunderbirds were supposed to do a show down here at McConnel AFB, Wichita KS last September, but because of this they never showed. But anyway, I was pretty mad considering last time they were here, we had bad weather and they cancelled everything all-together (About 6 years ago). I think the next team will be the Blue Angels that come here, provided that the airbase isn't shutdown over the course of the next year. I was pissed when they got rid of the B-1Bs that they had up there. It'd kinda suck to lose that kind of history. I mean c'mon! It's the Air capitol of the world! You need some kind of AFB here!

I've never understood why people say that. It doesn't make sense to me. Seattle and the surrounding area has a vastly larger and more diverse--and international--aviation infastructure.

One?

Well, Wichita has Boeing (largest employer in KS), Lear, Cessna + lots of suppliers etc. - back in the day they probably were the Air Capitol. I was at McConnell for a while - nice place.
