Armour recon

Former rähinäremmi. I would like to know the correct translation.
I got recon training but we were spesialized in identifying enemy tanks.
Do you Brits or Americans have the correct answer? I think Panzer recon would be close?

Panzer = German

I suppose English would be 'Armor'

In English, as opposed to American it is spelt armour.

The term is Armoured Recce, at least it is in English ;)

Americans might refer to it as Armored Cavalry.

When we had Infantry tank killers we called them Anti-Armour. Now they're a combined sustained fire machine gun, anti-armour platoon called direct fire support weapons or DFSW platoon.
