This device projects a circular shaped vortex of air up to 20 yards before breaking down. The gun works by charging a capacitor to 400v, then dumping the current into a solenoid when the trigger is pulled. The solenoid drives a diaphragm inside the tube, forcing the air violently out through a smaller opening at the front. The forced air forms a doughnut shaped vortex that can be directed through the room to knock over objects or in this case set of a car alarm. It could be used to precisely direct tear gas at a target without effecting unintended targets.
