I don't really know how to describe the tactics used in this battle but I am sure it will raise a few eyebrows.

have you seen that documentary on robert young pelton when he went into liberia? it was on tv years ago, it really opened my eye on the conflict over there. (recommend everyone to see Robert young pelton's "Dangerous Places", very interesting)

Did you see that one guy shoot blindly behind something - he lifted the gun over his head and just shot blindy. Unf*cking believeable ! OMFG! Are they actually trying to aim at something. !

What a show. I could only pray that my enemies would be that retarded. They have no skill whatsoever. I'm surprised there is very little (if no) return fire when they step out into the open like that.

Anyone notice that at the end of the vid firepower posted that there is a white truck driving away?
I think it is the part we don't see in this vid... http://www.filedump.nl/files/dekking1.wmv

What a bunch of pathetic fools, the only reason they survive a day in combat, must be that the other side is equally pathetic.
Interesting clip nonetheless!

Against any decent opposition, those blockheads would be getting fit up for a custom toe tag at the morgue.

yes. it reminds me of the first beta versions of the game counter-strike...
but: is this for real? it looks to me like they're doing some **** for the cameras, not really facing an enemy ... even my squad of drunken bavarians would have wiped those guys away, using one bullet each.

Hey folks,
from what I recall about the conflict from a documentary those gentlemen were fighting the other faction across the bridge by simply firing at their direction. They were fighting for control of the villages on both sides of the bridge. These gentlemen live off of the villagers by stealing whatever they may have and killing them if they do not sustain the rebel fighters. They do literally walk around with machetes and kill and maim anyone in their way. This is used to subdue the people into submission.
But, what might not have been described here is that what they were doing (at least some of them) was showing their "bravery" and "manhood" (displaying it to the other side)by shooting at the enemy at the opposite side of the bridge from out in the open. In addition, as you have all noticed many of them do not aim technically, some because they simply do not know how nor do they care, others are doing it as a deliberate tactic known as "launching" in which they fire in an angle up into the air as if it were a mortar, thus the bullet falls and then lands anywhere and terrorizes the innocent villagers and kills anyone indiscriminately at any time in any place.
