did a quick google search and came up with this:

http://history.amedd.army.mil/art/OIFpics/030412F1644L-038sm.jpg

Two brothers thank U.S. Army Special Forces Medic and a special operator after the soldiers gave them medicine for their sister, who they said is afflicted with cancer at West Baghdad, Iraq on April 12, 2003. SOF soldiers are patrolling the area to provide security for a local hospital.

Must be lots of more of them out there...

Instead of "Marine Medics", you could try "Navy Corpsmen".

And so the conclution is that there are no decent pictures of medics in full combat gear from A-stan or Iraq...?

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, dude! Did you NOT look at the links above? There are dozens of pics available. SEARCH FOR THEM!

I am a medic. There are other medics on the board. Do you want to know what we use so you can put together a "loadout" for playing dress up? Are you working on a project that you need pics for?

What information, specifically, are you looking for?!?!?!

I would suspect they use the same "battle gear" as anyone else in combat would use, but they would have their medic/corpsman bag with them.

plz correct me if i am wrong...

but dont US SF platoon medics have the same gear as all medics in service in armies all over the world!?

The basic gear of their unit + the extra medic gear they need (a medic buttpack for instance)?

:edit: I HATE being second :P

Sooo a US Ranger medic would for instance use an FLC or Alice webbing plus a M5 or M3 medic shoulder bag?

Gah...maybe 10 years ago they would have used the canvas M5 or the old M3.
The RGT has a medical set and supply list all their own. You will not find the bag commercially available, and many of the supplies are hard to get on the civilian market.

As for personal load bearing gear, a Ranger medic would most likely be using RLCS, like all Rangers. There are a few medic-specific pockets and such in the RLCS kits, but things that go "boom" and water are most important.

Though not a Ranger, I personally use a plate carrier most of the time, with just ammo and a pair of small utility pouches on it. I use a RAID pack with a custom insert as my main aidbag, but I have a "medical patrol pack", unknown maker, that I can fastex to the back of the PC.

My CIRAS isn't totally set up right now, but I have space for 8 M4 mags, 3 M9 mags, an admin pouch, 2 medical/utility pouches, a dumper, a Camelbak bladder and some misc items in the carrier and my radio pouch. I'm not sure if I want all that on there, though. It's pretty bulky.

Always wondered, how do the PJs stuff scissors in their assault vest. Cut a hole or is it specially adapted/pouch?

Probably special first aid kit pouches that have special scissor compartments..

They stick'em between the MOLLE loops on their webbing...

Do you know what kind of gear they use? It's a RAV, so it has PALS webbing, thus, they probably stick it in a loop.

I'd post pics of the PJs im talking about but my photobucket is being a arsehole...

Please elaborate on the abreviations.
Great pic btw. In every photo, the guy on the left reminds me of the Italian/american 506 soldier (in episode #10 says "Hey Bull doesnt this remind you of Bastonge?").

Remember when this guy said:

They stick'em between the MOLLE loops on their webbing...

And you, being a ****in know it all said:

Not the PJ's...

And I agreed that they put them thru a loop in the MOLLE compatible equipment they use ?

Well, the pic posted is an issued MOLLE load bearing vest/Fighting Load Carrier. The shears, in the pic, are inserted behind one row of MOLLE webbing.

Thus, it shows that you need to learn to listen to people who know better than you do.

Thank you for not continuing this debate. You were incorrect. Accept it and drive on.

You're right.
However by Molle I had assumed it was body armour with the loops on which you can attach pouches. For me the photo is unclear that the shears are held by a loop therefore the previous post.
I hate know-it-alls myself. My post was based on faulty knowledge. I agree with your post, well written.
