The article seems to rely on poor sources though. Specialoperations.com is crap, for one thing, and "Army Light Cavalry Detachment" as the translation for DAOS? Where did he come up with that one. And what about this new regiment specialized in target designation and reconnaissance behind enemy lines? Isn't that partly 13e RDP's job?

The writer writes that during WW 1 "French units acted in a way that may be translated into SF-activity of today."

Which units and operations is he refering to, if anybody knows?
