Check out this link, it asks you questions about your stance on different issues and then matches the candidates to you.
Kerry was a 100% match for me apparently.
Try it out.

<---- Neo-Con
who the fvck is Kucinich? mind you I did leave a lot blank american social policy means nothing to me and I don't know what the patriot act entails. still Bush came last
These sites don't take into account that you have to make concessions b/c there is never a perfect match.
That question about gay marriage is an example. We have already fought about this ad infinitum - but I don't agree with any of the candidates. I think Bush is the only one who has said he will deal with it the right way. Kerry says gay marriage is OK w/o really justifying his position, like 2 sheds says it is wrong w/o justifying. At least Bush says that he hates it b/c of his religious beliefs and that if a court tries to enforce it he will push to amend. Can't really say that I agree with Bush on that but his position is consistent - if you don't like the con you can and should try to amend it.
Same thing with the death penalty questions - is the question about personal beliefs or the constitution and the legality of the death penalty. Cause the answer depends on that distinction for people unless you are just talking about ideology that is unenforceable. If Kerry really wants to change the death penalty then he should get busy amending or changing the 8th amendment b/c the founding fathers thought execution was not cruel and unusual.
Education - increase federal funding for higher education? kind of a stilted question - I don't want to increase federal funding for anything - but I think higher education needs help - just b/c you wnat to help higher ed doesn't mean you think fed funding is the answer.
Hard to encapsulate political and governmental ideals into a multiple choice test.

Yeah this poll is so insanely rigged it's not funny. I purposely selected 3/4 of the answers or more to be for known Bush initiatives and it gave him the dead lowest score, even below Al Sharpton! The whole thing is a lie.

I had Bush at number one with 100% compatibility.
I think it says a lot about Kerry that often the best to be said about him is that he is the least offensive Democrat. That is why he needs tests like this to 'convince' us that he is the best fit.

unfortuantely, kerry will almost definitely lose the election. his lies and half-truths are already catching up with him (but what democrat doesn't like a president who lies? ;) ). such as his stance on gay-marriage: "i have always been against gay-marriage".
his voting record in massachusettes? well, i think you know where i'm going with this.. :)
If Kerry was a liar and he'd get into office, then how much bad can really come from it? I mean, it's not like you've got such an honest person in office right now...

you're joking right? you think Bush is not an honest person? well, you DO live almost half-way around the world.... ;)
It doesn't take much digging to find some of his lies, or how often he 'changed his mind'...
BTW the poll isn't TOTALLY crap; at least it listed Bush down at rank 7 for me... :)

well, i really can't find any lies. i'm being serious. please tell me how Bush lied. (in fact, you find many instances of people lying that Bush was lying (making up stuff, etc))
It's not worth going into whether politicians lie, because every single politician out there can bend the truth to their way of looking at things. It's a futile argument. The question is, is the representative enacting enough of what you believe in or not. Words are always worthless. Voting history and actions are the only thing that matters.

It would seem that on this forum, we would all be Wes Clark.
I could go on saying why I think he would be an awesome president, but I am sure you are all aware why he would be.
My #1 reason.....after watching him as a CNN War analyst, i realize the guy is just normal, down to earth, and understands what its like to be an American...not a politcian or upperclass aristocrat... how can anyone not see how tainted the other candidates are by personal goals.
Wes Clark!

Wes Clark!
are you joking? do you even know half of the facts about him?
1) he wanted to start WWIII
2) he was a republican just 1 month before declaring himself a dem candidate (doesn't seem to hold his ground, eh?)
3) he is a liar (watch his interview with Fox News Channel or with Tom Brokaw
4) when he was in the military, he was hated by everyone except his superiors for his snobbish and know-it-all attitude
5) he begged clinton over and over to get his fourth star.
you think he would be a good president?
