So they are..

But..

I was little disappointed when i realized that these pics were from Brazil..

As for some weird reason i thought that 'pampas' was in Argentine..

As they have the Plane called Pampa and all..

(Jet trainer..)

Pampas means the type of terrain from that region. Although the argentinean side is more famous, Brazil and Uruguayalso share the same topography

this is where the operation took place

Awesome pics, always a fan of the venerable M-60 since my old man had one in the Cav.

After failing to close the Saudi deal Engesa bankrupted in the 80s along with the army's plans to buy around 100 (not sure)EET1. In the 90s the army bought 90 m60 A3 TTS and 120 Leo 1. I heard they are planing to upgrade the Leo 1s with modern optronics and other stuff. Apparently the Leos fit better our weight and mobility requirements (the osorio was 40T because of that)

On a side note, in 2003 in a bid the army bought the Saudi and Brazilian prototype of the osorio. These are the only operational units and are being used to generate new requirements.

That depends on what kind of CP we are talking about right? I think it was my mistake not there's. This is CP belongs to one of the 3 logistical battalions in the region ranging from 450km to 170km away from the "contact line" (don't know how you call it).

Here is another picture of it that explains (i didn't know)
