Does this joker confessing on Pakistani national TV seem like a cover-up to anyone else?
How is it that the whole planet can simply watch some Pakistani Government stooge say "Yes, Mr. Un-elected President, I've been dealing National Security secrets on the sly to all the Public Enemy #1 Nations of the Western world for quite some time, but because I am apologising in public, you will give me a mild rap over the knuckles and nothing further will be said on the matter." Where is the world-wide sense of outrage? Why are we not making a bigger fuss over this MASSIVE oversight on the behalf of the Pakistani Security Forces? Dammit, this sort of blatant politicking makes me see red. I smell an under-the-table-deal, for sure.
It's sort of like working for Coca-Cola, and discovering that your Accountant is married to the Vice-President of Pepsi.. ! ! Slight conflict-of-interest, wouldn't you say? :|
After all, Gen. Musharaff is not as bad as ex-President Benazir Bhutto and associates were for the Country, I will acknowledge that much, but he is STILL only the rightful head of the Pakistani Armed Forces,(NOT the elected Head of Government) ruling in a "semi-caretaker" role, nurturing his Country until such a time as the Corruption and Nepotism of previous administrations is quashed. (At least, that's the official version. He seems to be fairly living in the lap of luxury, compared to his fellow Staff Officers, for an old General.) I guess George W. is using a policy of "Better the devil You know." (Ahh, Kylie Minogue..."Better the Devil you know..." mmmm....Hot Pants. Oops, Did I say that out loud?)
I know that we are generally kept "in the dark" on operational security matters in a wartime environment, but something is beginning to smell very fishy about recent developments, don't you reckon? (begins folding Tin-Foil Hat)
Maybe Imran Khan would have made a better Politician after all...
Hope his Cancer treatment clinics are still up and running....
