although common sense of engineering would tell anybody the cause of the collapse was due to the lack of espestos on the support structure. so i dont think it would have taken a whole lot more to investigate the cause of the WTC disaster.

This is the dumbest quote of them all, and shows that the site's intelligence level is on the ground level. The Sudan offered bin Laden to the Clinton administration. They said, "He's here right now, we'll tell you where he is and when, you just have to come pick him up." And they did nothing. They didn't have meetings to stop him, they decidedly did everything they could NOT to stop him.

I read a pretty interesting article on the subject. Bush and his administration came into the White House with the focus on a focus on missle defence as everyone should know.

Sandy Berger told Condoleezza Rice "I believe that the Bush Administration will spend more time on terrorism generally, and on al-Qaeda specifically, than any other subject."

Through a spokesperson, Rice denied that she was ever at a meeting with Berger. Sounds kinda fishy.

Anyways, after the bombing of the Cole Clinton kept two cruise missle equiped subs within striking distance of Afghanistan in hopes of getting a chance to get Bin Laden. They also had the CIA prepared to land a plane in the desert to take Bin Laden if he were captured.

No one knew what the targets were for Sept 11th, but the worldwide intelligence community knew that a large-scale attack was extremely likely.

We got lucky too though. Remeber how they predicted attacks on the eve of the millenium. The Jordanians broke up one al Qaeda cell, that guy planning on bombing LAX panicked at the border, and boat carrying explosive trying to bomb the USS The Sullivans in Yemen sunk because the overloaded it.

The signs were there. I think that Bush focused too much on missle defence, and not enough on the terror threat. He did a good job, but it could have been much better.

Same with Clinton, he was also was unable to stop al Qaeda soon enough, but I think it is great that his staff arranged briefings for the incoming Bush staff; something that Bush Sr's staff didn't do when Clinton took over.

There were signs of what al Qaeda was up to. Clinton and Bush both knew about it. Neither could stop it because they had limited intelligence. Do some reseach, it's interesting stuff. Then you won't look as dumb as a hippy when you spout of nonsense you made up, or though you heard but can't remember where.

Saying that Clinton wanted to let al Qaeda attack America seems a lot like saying Bush wants to steal Iraq's oil.
