Just finished it........It didn't grip me as much as I thought it would.
Anyone else read it and their opinions?

Seen it in the book stores and I was wondering if it just recounts it similar to Naylor's book on Anaconda before I bought it.

I read it while I was on holiday last week. I'm no expert but I found it quite interesting from the point of view of the fog of war. All that technology but guys on different sides of the same hill still can't talk to each other, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, information overload causing possibly even greater confusion and slowing decision making even more than not having enough information.

As a non military person it's always hard to know with these books just how much is deliberate disinformation though (a la Brava Two Zero etc).

Yeah I agree... I liked the part when the Ranger dives for cover into the combat controller's poo.

how many of you guys have seen the documentary on the military channel about the battle of roberts ridge it i think tells it allot better than the book considering that allot of the story is told bye the soldiers that were actuallty involved in the conflict!
